A really good day!

Today was such a good day! It was awesome to sleep in for the first time this week and not have to rush to get ready. Jeff & I made breakfast burritos before church... I love getting to have breakfast together. Church was also so good. We really like our new ward, which is good because at first we weren't sure we'd really care of it. It seems like just a couples ward could be really dramatic and competitive, but everyone has really been so welcoming and nice. The best part for both of us so far has been our Sunday school class. Starting our first week at the ward, they put us in a class with all the other "newly weds" or "new members to the ward". The class is about strengthening your marriage. For us it's probably so great because of how interactive it is (neither one of us have a very good attention span other wise). It has been so fun every week and really helps us to notice the cute positive things we do for each other. It also helps ease the tension over little "newly wed" conflicts by letting us know that it's basically the same for all couples. It is a challenge for any girl to have to move in with a boy, lol, as I'm sure it is the same for a guy... so obviously there are going to be little things that bug each other. The class reminds you that's just what they are "little things" and we all laugh during the class because it's the same for all the couples. Our teacher changes each of the five weeks of the class, which keeps it interesting because each of them have a different way of getting their message across. We love this class... it has been so much fun!

Another good part about today was that Jeff made an awesome dinner! The only thing we were missing was his mom's AMAZING homemade jam (we already have eaten all the jars she gave us :( ) We had homemade mashed potatoes(I made them), corn, rolls, and a perfect roast! I am so proud of Jeff for putting this dinner together! He really has started to like cooking, which is really fun because we get to cook together every night. We invited my mom to come over and have dinner with us tonight and it was really fun to have her over. I love having my mom come visit us. I think it freaks her out being in her little girls house, but for me I just feel like I'm playing house still!

I just don't want this weekend to end! It has been so refreshing and fun! I am so lucky to live the life that I do :) Thank you for all the people who make my life so rich and full!

OH! and we bakes cookies today too... I love when the house smells like freshly bakes cookies
